The Truth Hurts

Let me tell you bout my woman.

Oh how she loved me so.

At least that's what she told me.

How was I to know?

Her words were said with conviction.

There was no way that she could lie.

Oh what fool, that wasn't cool,

She took me for a ride!

Oh! It's a cruel world people,

When your woman feeds you lies.

But if you're looking for the truth,

You won't find it in her eyes!

When I met you baby,

I thought you were really sweet.

Believed every thing you told me,

Your words were good enough to eat.

I soon found out the hard way,

You weren't someone I could trust.

I looked in your eyes, and to my surprise,

Your gazed was fixed on him with lust!

Oh! It's a cruel world people,

When your woman feeds you lies.

But if you're looking for the truth,

You won't find it in her eyes!

They say believe nothing of what you hear,

And only half of what you see.

When I heard that you were cheating,

I didn't believe it would bother me.

But when I saw you with him,

Your tongue shoved down his throat,

I couldn't resist, I got pissed,

And went and grabbed my coat!

Oh! It's a cruel world people,

When your woman feeds you lies.

But if you're looking for the truth,

You won't find it in her eyes!

Now everybody wants someone,

Someone they can trust.

A lover you can count on,

Someone true. That's a must!

And when you look her in the eyes,

You can clearly see,

There's nothing to hide, love's not denied,

That's the one for me!

Oh! It's a cruel world people,

When your woman feeds you lies.

But if you're looking for the truth,

You won't find it in her eyes!
